Designer software iconDesigner is a simple to use piece of software, featuring an intuitive drag-and-drop interface. All the elements connected to your system - switches, sensors, lights, sounds etc - are represented by graphical blocks. Select the blocks required from a selection of palettes and drop them onto a graph area. Then, to make things work, join them together graphically using 'wires'. This creates a 'map' that tells the computer what you want to do.

Hit 'Play' to launch the Player and hear and see what you have created.

Player is a simple to use tape-deck style interface for the maps created by Designer. It can be used alongside Designer for auditioning maps as you create them or as a stand-alone application.

Exported maps can be performed by Player without the need for Designer to be open. This creates a simple way for beginners and everyday users to access precomposed themes and get playing straight away.

Technical Specifications

Ensemble Designer and Player software applications are designed to run on a wide variety of different systems, but the capabilities may be limited by your specific PC. Ensemble has been successfully run on everything from eight year old laptops to netbook computers (for example the Asus eeePC), a MacBook Pro running Windows (under Apple Bootcamp) to modern Windows 7 laptops. The Ensemble uses your computer's own soundcard to generate MIDI sounds, so this will affect the quality of the audio produced. Alternatively you can route to an external MIDI sound module or internal softsynth application.
